Ecosorp's
Purification Method

ecoSorp The Ecosorp oil adsorption system is designed to remove small amounts of light liquids (according to DIN 1999), i.e. non-water-soluble or low-water-soluble, unsaponifiable fluids with a specific gravity below 0.95 such as gasoline, diesel and heating oils and other mineral oils from the effluent. The purified water leaving Ecosorp can directly be discharged, as residual hydrocarbon concentrations are below 0.1 ppm. Ecosorp is meant as the last element of a purification chain consisting of grit chamber and Ecosep oil/water separator. A physical adsorption process on the surface of a highly oleophilic material is largely responsible for these high removal efficiencies.
